The Soap Cycle handmade soap differs from factory-manufactured soap in two important ways.
First, handmade soap is, by definition, not mass produced; it is made according to a traditional recipe that combines acid and alkaline substances to bring about saponification, the chemical reaction that signals the turning of the combined substances into soap.
Second, handmade soap is made from pure, natural ingredients: carrier oils (olive oil, coconut oil, and castor oil); and essential oils such as rosemary oil, lavender oil, and lemon verbena oil. It contains no additives or preservatives. And most importantly, it contains no palm oil, which has been responsible for deforestation on a massive scale – see this video clip for more.
